Araya Litsey childhood cancer awareness fundraiser

At just 9 weeks old (2 months and 4 days), sweet Araya Litsey is already facing a battle no baby should ever have to fight.

On February 19th, Araya underwent surgery to remove what doctors initially believed was a non-cancerous tumor called a sacrococcygeal teratoma. Her family hoped that once it was removed, she would be on the road to recovery.

Sadly, further testing brought heartbreaking news.

On February 27th, Araya was officially diagnosed with Myxopapillary Ependymomas, a very rare type of cancer in babies. What started as a hopeful surgery quickly turned into the beginning of a long and uncertain journey for this tiny warrior and her family.

At only a few weeks old, Araya should be spending her days growing, cuddling, and discovering the world — not fighting cancer. Her strength already shows just how incredible she is.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Fundraiser is being held to help support Araya and her family as they navigate medical treatments, hospital visits, travel, and the many unexpected expenses that come with caring for a child facing cancer.
